Some 3,000 GEELY cars, including the LC, EC7, EC7-RV and EC8 models, will arrive in Saudi Arabia in the next few days. The total value of the cars is over 15 million Saudi Arabian Riyal ($4,006,922).

A launch ceremony for the four brands was held in Saudi Arabia on September 20 and GEELY authorized Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd, a local automotive dealer over a century old, as its deputy in the country.

The models fall under GEELY’s two big brands, GEELY and GEELY Emgrand. The LC, with a five-star safety rating, is a slick and fashionable model, while the EC7 and EC8 are part of GEELY’s luxury Emgrand brand.

In order to successfully market its cars to Saudi Arabia, GEELY started mileage tests in the region as early as 2010. During the 2-3 month tests in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, GEELY adjusted the cars’ air-conditioners, heat balance and endurance to match local climates and geological characteristics and meet local customers’ needs.
